Alexandra Anseur, President and CEO of Alasuite, a local AI provider for healthcare facilities
Alexandra Anseur has been involved in the healthcare sector since the beginning of her professional career. After completing a Bachelor's degree in AES (General Administration and Social Development) at UPPA and a Master's degree in Organizational Management at IAE Pau-Bayonne, she joined HEC Paris and founded Alasuite. A journey built on experience and driven by the desire to be useful.
You have a strong interest in the healthcare sector. How did you envision your professional future?
When I graduated from high school, I wasn’t certain about my professional future. However, I had already started working with children facing difficulties through my BAFA certification. I have always felt the need to have a meaningful job and to be useful to others on a daily basis.
I completed a high school diploma in Economics and Social Sciences, and in 2010, I naturally chose the Bachelor's degree in General Administration and Social Development (AES) at UPPA. There, I found the social sector that interested me and developed additional skills, particularly in management and law. Between my Bachelor's and my Master's, I also completed an unpaid internship in the medico-social sector. I have always prioritized hands-on experience and practical work. At one point, I even tried working in the blockchain field, but after six months, I returned to healthcare, which has always motivated me to get up in the morning. In 2013, I joined the Master's program in Healthcare Organization Management at IAE Pau-Bayonne. From my first year, I realized that I wanted to lead an organization in the healthcare or medico-social field, more specifically for people with disabilities.
What did your studies at UPPA and IAE Pau-Bayonne bring you?
In the first year, there is a common core curriculum, which provides a solid knowledge base. Then, over the next two years, we gradually specialize, giving us time to discover what we truly enjoy.
During the first year of the Master's in Organizational Management, a group of students and I created Txiki mag, a magazine for hospitalized children. Pierre Marin, one of our project management professors, shared his expertise with us. The second year is completed through a work-study program. I chose this program for the practical experience it provides.
When did you decide to create Alasuite?
After graduating, I managed a medico-social organization for people with disabilities for seven years. It was an intense experience. I was only 23 years old and was responsible for 250 employees. After this experience, I was recruited as a lecturer at IAE, where I shared my management experience with students from 2019 to 2025.
At the age of 30, I felt the desire to become an entrepreneur and decided to train at HEC alongside my work. I followed the Challenge+ program for nine months with my associate. I founded Alasuite on March 8, 2022, on International Women’s Rights Day—a small nod to being a female entrepreneur. Our startup develops a local AI that frees healthcare professionals from administrative tasks. We offer an innovative alternative to existing cloud solutions, which raise concerns about data sovereignty and costs.
What message would you give to a young person considering enrolling in a UPPA program? And to a recent graduate at the end of their studies?
All roads lead to Rome... You have to stay curious and dare to knock on doors. Someone who hesitates will always find an opportunity among the wide range of programs offered at UPPA. With the rise of AI, it is important to maintain curiosity and prioritize hands-on experience. I believe in always staying in motion. The more diverse experiences you have, the clearer your path becomes. Action brings information. To succeed, you must have failed many times. To start a business, you must be resilient.
